Marios Tokas Museum

The proposal was developed under the thinking of how a building could host the immeasurable work and contribution of a huge personality.

We translated this idea as a building-container of art and culture. A building that, through its character, will have the sole purpose of highlighting the work of the multi-talented composer and lyricist.

The morphology was then created with this purpose; not competing with the artist's work, but complementing it. In addition, we wanted the building to adapt to the dense local urban landscape, while at the same time highlighting new ideas and perspectives on how a museum can integrate history and culture in a space that harmonizes with its environment.

Our proposal for the Marios Tokas Museum proposes a modern and progressive cultural space in which the modern architectural approach creates a dynamic coupling with the history and tradition of the place.
